Cardiac
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) affects one in six Australians. It is the nation’s most common cause of death, killing one person every 12 minutes. Each year around 55,000 Australians suffer a heart attack. Risk factors for CVD include smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, poor nutrition, being overweight/obese and physical inactivity. An alarming 25% of Australians have three or more risk factors for CVD, and 90% have at least one risk factor.
At PRP, we are committed to investing in cardiac imaging technologies across our clinics, reflecting our commitment to the fight against cardiovascular disease.
